Wassily Kandinsky - Abstract
Born in Moscow, in the year of 1866 was a man named Wassily Kandinsky who studied art for over 30 years. Later on he moved to Munich to study painting and drawing. He was also a trained musician and he approached colour with a musician's taste. He was inspired by Claude Monet (a impressionist artist) and led Kandinsky to explore his creativity in colour on canvas (something to paint on). Later on he emerged to a respected abstract artist during the early 20th century.
Kandinsky was born on December 4rth 1866, his mother Linda Ticheeva and father Vasily Silvestrovich Kandinsky both musicians divorced when he was near 5 years. He had to move to Odessa to live with his aunt, and learnt to play the piano and cello.
Kandinsky died of cerebrovascular disease in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, on December 13, 1944. His paintings were sold for over 20 million dollars!
